Equal distributions of protein (eg. 30 grams per meal) is likely to be a much more successful strategy for sustaining or improving muscle mass than the same daily total that is not equally distributed (eg. most in the evening meal).

I would have to agree. The equal distribution of protein would allow for better energy balance which has been shown to be associated with higher lean mass and lower fat mass. The 2009 Paddon-Jones study also illustrated this concept quite well.

"Body fat increased similarly in all 3 protein diet groups and represented 50% to more than 90% of the excess stored calories."

Does this mean that some individuals stored 50% while others 90% across the 3 groups, or that one group stored 50% while another 90%?

Since saiety is not a factor in forced feedings, we can't draw a conclusion whether weight gain would follow the same manner
eating ad libitum, correct?
